MIGO Awarded Underground Fuel Tank Removal (F155), Vance AFB
MIGO Construction Group, Inc. (MIGO) is excited to announce the award of another project at Vance AFB. MIGO was awarded the Remove Underground Fuel Tank (F155) project by Vance AFB Contracting. The project involves decommissioning and removing an underground fuel tank located adjacent to an active flightline operational facility at Vance AFB. The work requires strict adherence to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) procedures, flightline security measures, Vance AFB safety standards, and Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) requirements for UST closure reporting and decommissioning. This is one of two PWE/MIGO-awarded fuel-tank removals at Vance AFB, and MIGO's third underground tank removal at the base in 2023.
The full scope involves removing all diesel fuel from the existing 1,000-gallon fiberglass tank; excavating, removing, and properly disposing of the tank; and backfilling and compacting the excavated area. Once complete, the site will be restored to pre-existing conditions, including replacement of sidewalks and sod/landscape features.
Onsite activities are tentatively scheduled to commence and be completed by mid-October 2023.
