MIGO Awarded FAA MACC IDIQ and $1.2M Seed Project
MIGO Construction Group, Inc. (MIGO) is excited to share news of our recently awarded, long-term Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) and its seed project, 013-CAI Room B50 Simulators, for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). MIGO is serving as strategic team partner and prime subcontractor to the awarded prime contractor. We look forward to supporting the FAA and its end-user, the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), at Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The award of this IDIQ MACC was based on best value and took into account MIGO's past performance, key personnel, technical resources, management approach, and pricing ability to support general construction and renovation-type task orders. Projects will range in size from $2,000 to $1,500,000 each, and the IDIQ has a duration of five years — a one-year base period plus four one-year option periods.
The seed project, 013-CAI Room B50 Simulators, will renovate and reconfigure an existing open work area, large server room, adjacent offices, and two corridors to accommodate a new, large simulator suite. The suite will include dedicated rooms for simulator equipment, storage, an electrical room, an office, and two large ramped entrances leading into the new space. The total renovated area is approximately 3,100 square feet. In addition to interior finishes and specialty items required for simulator suites — such as blackout curtains and TATE raised-access flooring — new mechanical systems will include four indoor wall-mounted mini-split units and a large, dedicated mini-split DX outdoor unit to serve the simulator room.
The anticipated start date is fall 2023, with completion in early winter 2024.
