MIGO Awarded Its Largest Prime Contract to Date — B820 Electrical Infrastructure, Tinker AFB
MIGO Construction Group has been awarded the B820 electrical infrastructure project at Tinker Air Force Base — the largest prime contract in the company's history. As prime contractor, MIGO will replace aging electrical infrastructure serving a mission-critical facility within a secure, access-controlled area of the installation.
The project is performed inside a secured area of Tinker's Navy airfield, behind a controlled-access perimeter that requires additional personnel background clearance (EAL/VEAL). Delivering construction in an active, security-controlled flightline environment demands rigorous access coordination, scheduling discipline, and on-site security management — areas where MIGO has built proven experience.
The scope begins with demolition of the existing generator yard at Building 820 — the generator, diesel fuel tank, and the pre-cast concrete walls, foundation, and piers. MIGO will then install new underground electrical infrastructure: approximately 650-LF of hydrovac trenching for a 3" conduit placed in a concrete ductbank, roughly 40 linear feet of boring beneath an active roadway, and a new reinforced concrete slab with piers and footings. The slab includes electrical stub-ups and openings to accommodate future generator installation by the Navy, and a new disconnect is set on a new concrete equipment pad.
The project carries a 285-calendar-day performance period, with completion anticipated in June 2027. This award marks a significant milestone in MIGO's growth as a prime contractor delivering complex electrical and civil work in secure, mission-critical environments at Tinker Air Force Base.
